New lights front and rear plus new door locks and Mk1 boot handle. White front indicators. LED reversing lamp and rear fog light plus chrome number plate light. TEX chrome door mirrors. 12” Revolution 4 spoke alloys, 4x Yokohama A539 tyres all with 7-8 mm tread. Front bucket seats by Newton Commercials. Steering column drop bracket. Three clock gauges including a rev counter. New front and rear door cards plus alloy interior door handle set. Walnut dashboard and matching wooden steering wheel. Centre twin pipe exhaust (not too loud).
Blaupunkt audio with FM, DAB+ and Bluetooth streaming. 4x Pioneer speakers with front speakers in custom footwell pods and rear speakers mounted on rear parcel shelf. Dash mounted mobile phone holder with USB (in place of ashtray).
Original Lucas immobilser/alarm and keyfob still works which provides a level of security and reassurance.
Car has been well maintained by local Mini specialist and runs great. Fuel injected 1275cc engine starts reliably first time whether hot or cold and will easily keep up with modern traffic. Driving it is a pure analogue experience compared with a modern car, plus being a Mini it’s guaranteed to put a smile on your face when you reach the corners. It will go round corners like it is on rails!
Car has been garaged and SORN over winter and covered with a quality outdoor cover when outside over the summer (cover included in sale). Recent new Varta battery and Lucas coil and lots of other ancillary parts (invoices available). Haynes manual and boxes of spare bits come with the car. I have V5 in my name.
The car is not concours – there are a few minor marks on the bodywork – but it’s 30 years old and it still looks smart, it’s a great fun car to drive and gets admiring comments everywhere it goes.
