We are sad to be selling this rare Mini but we need to upgrade to a larger family car and it is such a fun car to drive. It would be perfect for any Mini enthusiast.
Registered in March 2006. Passed its last MOT on 7th August 2025. Its last stamped service and inspection was when we purchased the car in August 2023 at 65,976 miles. I have personally given in an Oil and Filter Service in August 2024.
We purchased this car from a R53 Mini dealer in August 2023 when it was new in and hadn’t been fully prepared for sale however the uniqueness of the car tempted us and we were allowed to test drive. We were made aware early on that there was a gear box fault that hadn’t been fixed as of yet. In the test drive, the fault was once up to temperature it jolted between gears. We were advised that this was a common fault with a valve within the auto gear box and this was repaired on buying the Mini and we haven’t had any issues with the gearbox since.
The Mini came with a 3 month warranty during which the oil filter seal and crank shaft seal was replaced due to noticing a slight oil patch on our drive after it has been driven. It never leaked while the Mini was switched off and no more leaking has occurred. Unfortunately whilst this work was being carried out it had been keyed down the nearside from front door to back. This was repaired with the warranty and had a nearside respray.
During our ownership, we wanted to get a Mini associated garage to inspect the vehicle and the result of the inspection was that the car required front suspension top mounts, front rear lower bushes and a rear bearing being replaced. This work was all carried out. I replaced the bushes with Powerflex and have replaced the coolant bottle. I replaced the top mounts with non OEM parts however these do need replacing again.
We mention the above to be transparent about our journey with this car but there are so many good points with it;
It drives well and it’s extremely fun and fast
Have all original books and service history stamps
6 months left on MOT
Electronics are all in good order
Panoramic roof adds to the fun factor
Cruise control
Plenty of tread on tyres
Despites its age, it has low mileage at just over 76k
Auto headlights and wipers
6 Disc CD change in boot (I have also added a bluetooth adaptor)
Has tool kit fixed into boot
2 x working keys
Windscreen has been replaced recently due to being stone chipped. When this was replaced the trim pillars were replaced but we still have the originals
Other points for awareness;
There are minor aged related scratches and dinks
Recent MOT advisory on brakes
Headlight washers work but one of the chrome covers is missing – this will replaced before sale
